The countdown to the 4th Annual Baltimore MET Gala (BMG) is officially underway, and if the Designer + Faces Reveal was any indication, this year’s celebration is about to redefine what it means to be TIMELESS. Held June 19 at the M4K Building, the night was an immersive fusion of fashion, future-forward thinking, and pure Baltimore soul.
As a celebrity photographer and fashion editor who has covered the biggest red carpets in the country, let me tell you — this wasn’t just another fashion reveal. This was Baltimore’s style heartbeat on full display.
Curated by Earle Bannister and Shajuan Finney, the event introduced 15 groundbreaking designers who will now compete for a place on the coveted BMG runway in September. Each collection was a masterclass in innovation—textures, silhouettes, and storytelling that pulled from the past and stretched into the future, embodying the year’s theme: “TIMELESS — The Evolution of Style: PAST. PRESENT. FUTURE.”
Among the breakout brands:
Andrew Nowell Menswear delivered structure with swagger.
Angelias Couture served romanticism with an edge.
Sa’loote Culture snagged the People’s Choice award with unapologetically bold Afro-futurist designs.
And icons like STUDIO D’MAXSI and THE A CONCEPT by Afua Sam proved once again why they are pillars in the DMV fashion scene.
But it wasn’t just about the garments. The night also introduced this year’s Faces of the BMG — six captivating individuals whose style and presence embody the spirit of this year's theme:
April Jordan, Tunisia McCoy, Morgan Taylor, Matthew Bernadowski, Eric Adonis Brisbane, and Noelle Gens lit up the room with runway-ready charisma, each styled to perfection as walking embodiments of Baltimore’s fashion renaissance.
