The Heart Behind the Lens
I’m Kia C. Boone, the founder and lead photographer of KLS Image Photos, where capturing life’s most meaningful moments is both my passion and my purpose. For over eight years, I’ve been fortunate to document weddings, milestones, and personal stories for incredible clients. Each session is a new adventure, and I approach every one with fresh eyes and an open heart. Based in the dynamic Washington, DC/Maryland/Virginia area, I’m also your passport to breathtaking destination elopements—because love knows no borders, and neither does my lens.

My love affair with photography began at 15, and that passion has only grown stronger with time. My creative journey started with a BA in Graphic Design and Photography from Morgan State University in 2005, followed by an MA in Art and Design from Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD) in 2008. After spending more than a decade perfecting visual wonders through KLS Designz & Print, I fully embraced my passion for photography in 2018, and I’ve never looked back.

But I’m not just about formal credentials—though I have those, too! I hold certifications from The Hollywood Art Institute and Allison School. My work has made a global impact, with features in over 100 publications, including G.O.A.T Magazine and Brand Model Magazine. I’m also a proud member of PPA (Professional Photographers of America), ensuring I stay connected to a community of creative professionals.
