New York Fashion Week has always been the premier platform for daring visions and innovative artistry, and this season's Runway 7 event at Sony Hall offered an exhilarating experience that combined fashion, philanthropy, and dynamic creativity. As a credentialed photographer and the creative director of KLS Image Photography, I had the privilege of capturing the energy and passion that made this event truly memorable.

A Celebration of Innovation, Culture, and Cause

Runway 7 continues to champion a global roster of both established and emerging designers—this year’s showcase was no exception. The runway came alive with inspired collections ranging from the futuristic silhouettes of The Alchemist Jaleel to the culturally-rooted elegance of 787 MI ISLA. Each designer used the stage to tell a story through movement, fabric, and form, reflecting a wide spectrum of identities and styles.
One standout moment that moved the audience beyond fashion was a philanthropic segment in partnership with Mount Sinai’s Corinne Goldsmith Dickinson Center for Multiple Sclerosis. Designers reimagined lab coats as fashion statements, raising awareness and funds for MS research—$100,000 to date. It was a powerful reminder that fashion has the power not only to turn heads but also to change lives.

Behind the Lens: Where Movement Meets Meaning

Capturing a high-stakes runway show like this involves more than just taking photos—it's about grasping the rhythm of the walk, the mood of the collection, and the magic of the moment. Each press of my shutter was deliberate, aimed at preserving the essence of these rapidly unfolding masterpieces. At Sony Hall, where elegance meets edge, the lighting and staging provided every look with its own dramatic arc.
Each designer’s showcase resembled a visual symphony, and my task was to convert that music into imagery. From the intense gaze of the models to the applause of an engaged audience, the spirit of New York Fashion Week was captured in every shot.

A Moment Worth Remembering

Runway 7 wasn’t just a professional milestone—it was a personal reminder of why I do this. Fashion, for me, is storytelling in motion. It’s legacy, culture, future. As I reflect on the images, I’m reminded that the runway is where the creative village truly comes alive: designers, stylists, models, photographers—all coming together to tell a collective truth.

Looking Ahead

If this season was any indication, the future of Runway 7 is bold, visionary, and full of heart. I’m excited to continue documenting these stories—both on the runway and behind the scenes—as fashion continues to evolve and empower.
