On Saturday, September 13, 2025, The HALL at Live! Casino & Hotel in Hanover transformed into a dazzling celebration of art, fashion, culture, and cuisine. The 4th Annual Baltimore MET Gala, produced by LaRian Finney and Derrick Chase, returned with its signature blend of creativity and community — and this year, the theme said everything: TIMELESS — The Evolution of Style: Past. Present. Future. From the moment guests stepped onto the blue carpet to the final applause, the evening proved nothing short of phenomenal.

The Blue Carpet
The night began with a flood of elegance. Artists, fashionistas, business leaders, elected officials, and Baltimore's cultural tastemakers arrived dressed to embody every era imaginable — from African royalty to the Roaring Twenties, 1970s-inspired glam, Bridgerton regalia, Gilded Age opulence, and bold futuristic interpretations. The blue carpet wasn't just an entrance. It was the first gallery of the night.
The 2025 theme had invited attendees and designers to move fluidly through time — drawing from the Harlem Renaissance, the Classic Forties, the Revolutionary Sixties, and the cutting edge of contemporary high fashion before pushing into the avant-garde and the yet-to-be-imagined. Baltimore answered the call at every turn.
The Experience
Beyond the fashion, the evening was designed as a full sensory event. A Taste of the MET offered a curated culinary experience that celebrated Baltimore's food culture with the same intentionality as the runway. The Statement 2025 art exhibition brought visual artistry into direct conversation with fashion, reinforcing what the Baltimore MET Gala has always understood: that style, food, and art are not separate categories — they are one culture.
ICON + IMPACT: Honoring Baltimore's Best
The heart of the evening was the ICON + IMPACT Awards, celebrating the local leaders whose work has shaped Baltimore's creative and civic landscape.
Khalilah Beavers received the Fashion ICON award, a nod to her influence on the city's style community. Derrick Adams was honored as Artist ICON, recognized for a body of work that has elevated Baltimore's presence in the national art conversation. Saon Brice took home the Culinary ICON award, representing the city's growing reputation as a serious food destination.
The IMPACT Awards recognized Audra Madison and Brandon M. Phillips for their contributions to the community, while the Thurgood Marshall Amenity Center received the Community Impact Award — a fitting tribute to an institution rooted in service and legacy.
Baltimore's Gala, Baltimore's Glory
Four years in, the Baltimore MET Gala has done what only the best events can do: become a tradition. Under the vision of Finney and Chase, it has carved out a space where the city's fashion, art, and culinary worlds converge — not in imitation of anything else, but entirely on Baltimore's own terms.
Timeless was the theme. After a night like September 13, 2025, it also feels like a promise. The 5th Annual Baltimore MET Gala is already on the calendar — mark August 29, 2026.
