On August 5, 2025, COVERED. by KLS captured a powerful moment in style and storytelling: a branding photoshoot with Caprece Ann Jackson, a 70-year-old fashionista, sustainable fashion curator, and living proof that true style has no expiration date. Follow her journey on Instagram at @capreceannjackson.

Breaking Barriers at 70
Caprece is not your typical model — and she never has been. A Hearst scholar who studied advertising and communications at the Fashion Institute of Technology, she once rolled into Studio 54 on skates with classmates, rubbed elbows with Grace Jones and Jean-Paul Goude, and turned down a Wilhelmina modeling contract on the advice of B. Smith herself to go to Paris and live a life worth writing about.
She did exactly that. As a Paris-based freelance journalist, Caprece covered the Paris and Milan Collections and built relationships with icons like Patrick Kelly and Karl Lagerfeld. Five years later, she returned stateside, landing in Washington, D.C. before ultimately calling Baltimore home — where she has spent decades building a fashion legacy all her own.
At 70, she walks into every room the same way she always has: radiant, fearless, and unapologetically herself.

The Shoot
The session unfolded like a celebration. Caprece arrived in a series of bold looks — chic monochromes, vibrant patterns, and statement accessories that matched her larger-than-life energy. Each wardrobe change revealed a different dimension of her style, from regal sophistication to playful elegance — a visual language rooted in her lifelong work as a sustainable fashion maven.
The camera caught all of it: her radiant smile, the spark in her eyes, the effortless way she owned every frame. No posturing. Just presence.

Fashion as Purpose
For Caprece, style has never been superficial. "Fashion is my happy place," she says. "It's my therapy in this mad crazy world."
But it's also her mission. As a sustainable fashion curator, brand ambassador for Sustainable Fashion Week and Swap Across America, and the founder of Bonneau Caprece LLC, Caprece has spent years using fashion as a vehicle for education, community, and change. She co-produced Wear It Out Baltimore, curated sustainable designer installations at ArtScape, and has been working to scale the sustainable fashion movement nationally.
"I want to accelerate and expand the vortex of the sustainable fashion movement," she says — and her résumé makes clear she's not just talking.
Her reach extends beyond Baltimore. The original Happy I'm Nappy button she developed and marketed nationally is now on permanent exhibit at the Smithsonian Museum of African-American History and Culture.

Inspiring the Next Generation
This shoot wasn't just about Caprece — it was about what she represents. For younger women, she's proof that fashion doesn't age out. For women her age and beyond, she's a reminder to stop shrinking and start showing up.
In an industry that still defaults to youth as its standard, Caprece is creating visibility for women who refuse to disappear. She's not reacting to the industry's rules — she's rewriting them. She has been for over 35 years.

A Legacy in Motion
Beyond the clothes and the poses, Caprece's story is about resilience, authenticity, and the audacity to keep going. At 70, she's not winding down — she's amplifying. Her branding shoot is a blueprint for what it looks like to live boldly, dress with intention, and build something meaningful at every stage of life.
The images from August 5 will outlast the session itself. Not just as promotional content, but as evidence: true style doesn't fade. It evolves.
